The morning Edit Febuary 24th
1. Are your mornings more calm or chaos and why?
Calm! I really cherish having time to myself before any external distractions come in and it's what grounds me for the rest of the day.
2. What does ‘routine’ mean to you at this stage of your life?
Routine, for me, is what gives me freedom - it sounds counterintuitive, but I don't have to think about my routines. They have become things I naturally do and so it frees up headspace and energy for everything else in
3. Talk us through the first moments of your morning what are the first 3 things you do?
Every morning I move, hydrate and pray. I get out of bed and do the "Big 6" lymphatic routine (I swear by this), then some stretching and 100 or so jumps - lots of twisting to wake my body up. I then have a big glass of water with minerals/celtic sea salt and make a green tea. I sit having this in front of my red light while I read scripture and pray. Some days that's 10 minutes, but I love if I can carve out 30 mins.
And all of this is with my phone on airplane mode - I tend to do a few hours of work before I turn it back on
4. What helps you feel most like you in the morning?
Prayer is the big one for me, and also getting outside for a walk - fresh air, light and no phone my day. But I am big on flexibility - no set time or set order, just a loose structure that means I've prioritised myself no matter how busy the day is.
5. Where do brows fit into your everyday routine?
Oh I cannot leave the house until I've styled my brows - most days it's no make up except for brow gel
6. What are your five must-have products you start your day with
AWvi cleanser
Nue Co Barrier Treatment
Fushi rosehip oil mixed into
AWvi face cream
By Ellie brow texture
Westman Atelier highlighter stick - the brulee shade is incredible
• A beauty tip you are currently loving?
I am loving gelatine at the moment. Skin is such a mirror of what's happening internally, and since having it daily I have noticed a big difference in how hydrated and smooth my skin is. I just add a tbsp to my hot cacao every morning, so good.
